Who wants to be a millionaire anyway?

I think the trouble with the world is that it always minds its business.
Business is war.
Where's the time for peace?

What's the goal of a business?
To maximise shareholder value?
How?
Through profit maximisation?

Does profit maximisation allow for maximising potential?

I watch the local version of Who wants to be a millionaire with interest.
Is there any doubt that its a gambling game?
However few have the gambler's spirit?
To risk everything on the throw of a dice.

Its boring.

Allow me to tell you why.
When a player has won 6,40,000 he is assured of that sum no matter what the future outcomes may be.

So he or she gambles with the next question - for 12.5 lakh

If the player wins 12.5 lakh two options exist if they do not know the answer to the subsequent question.

Double or Quit!

Its surprising how few choose to guess at this stage.

They prefer to profit maximise - apparently thats common sense

Than to dare to win 25 lakh - there's after all 25% chance of doing so and it opens up the opportunity to win further.

Even with the safety net of 6,40,000/-

Dare to win!
